See Your ITTN+Emirates Travel Photographer of the Year Entries Online!

The ITTN+Emirates Travel Photographer of the Year competition officially launches tomorrow, Wednesday 1st July, but we have already received many eye-catching entries – and you can view them all at ittn.ie/travel-photographer-of-the-year-entries/ . Enter your photos now at ittn.ie/photo-competition !

The overall winner of the inaugural ITTN+Emirates Travel Photographer of the Year competition will receive tickets for two from Dublin to any destination on the Emirates worldwide network. Four monthly winners will each receive a trophy and a voucher for €200. So choose your best travel photos taken over the past year or get shooting with your camera, smartphone or tablet and send them to ITTN at: ittn.ie/photo-competition .

Today most of us have a camera or, if not, a mobile phone or tablet with a built-in camera – so there is no excuse for not taking lots of photos. All travel agency personnel in Ireland, North and South, are eligible to enter this competition, i.e. travel agency and tour operator staff or management. Any photos taken by the entrant since 1st July 2014 are eligible, and any number of entries can be made during each month of the competition.

The competition will run over four months, from 1st July to 31st October 2015. Entries can be either scenic photos taken during fam or prize trips, business trips or holidays, or of people at work in the agency or company (including, for example, visiting representatives) or at a travel event.

Entrants will upload photos via an ITTN+Emirates Photo Competition entry form on the ITTN website, together with the photo title and a brief description of where, when and how the photo was taken (i.e. with camera, tablet or smartphone), and the entrant’s name, job title, company, email address, and mobile number. Terms and conditions will apply.

Four Monthly Winners

Each month’s photos will be judged by Anita Thomas, Sales Manager Ireland, Emirates; Michael Flood, Editor, Irish Travel Trade News; and Neil Steedman, News & Features Editor, Irish Travel Trade News, and those shortlisted will be posted on ITTN’s Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram. A monthly winner will also be chosen and each winner will receive a trophy and a voucher for €200 from Emirates.

The four monthly winners will be invited as guests of Emirates to the 24th Irish Travel Trade Awards being held on Friday 27th November 2015 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dublin – Burlington Road.

Professional photographer Paul Sherwood will join the judging panel to select an overall winner from the four monthly winners. The lucky winner will be announced on the night of the Irish Travel Trade Awards and presented with tickets for two from Dublin to any destination on the Emirates worldwide network.
