Thomas Cook Makes Moves on Top Prize in RCI Wow Factor Dance Competition

The dazzling dance display from the team at Thomas Cook so impressed the judges of Royal Caribbean International’s Wow Factor dance competition that they have been given a special wildcard to compete in the final. Sinead Barron, Tautvydas Pocius, Kelly McGrath, Nicola Stanford and Sharon Knowles will be flying across to the competition’s final on board Independence of the Seas in Southampton on 4th May 2013 and will be limbering up in leg warmers before strutting their stuff in front of an elite panel of judges, including Pineapple Studio’s dance supremo Louie Spence. RCL WOW Factor

Despite strong support from voters on Royal Caribbean’s agent Facebook page (www.facebook.com/rcltravelagents) after being featured on Irish Travel Trade News (http://youtu.be/sDwdArTmUUs), Sharon ‘Spence’ Harney’s Thomas Cook troupers were pipped at the post as one of top three qualifiers. The judges were so impressed by the twirls from the team that the surprise move to award a wildcard was made.

Sharon Harney, Head of Sales and Marketing, Thomas Cook Ireland, said: “There’s a lot of excitement among the team in Dublin with weight training at dawn and boot camp four times a week as Thomas Cook Ireland prepare to ‘WOW’ Louie! Our dedicated staff work hard all day, every day and Royal Caribbean’s Wow Factor has given us an opportunity to come together and have a lot of fun. Bring it on – we’ll blow the judges’ leg-warmers off!”

The Irish team’s wildcard marks a hat-trick for Thomas Cook as the lucky five will be facing competition from their colleagues across the water when they face Samantha Williams’ team from Thomas Cook Plymouth and Rashida Butler’s team from Thomas Cook Teeside. Darryl Geegan from Thomson Inverness completes the line-up for the final.

Further details of the Wow Factor dance competition will be posted on the RCL travel agents Facebook page (search rcltravelagents).
