Speed Networking

The WTM Speed Networking programme includes an event first-thing on the Monday morning (3rd November) to start negotiations at WTM, followed by an event on Thursday morning (6th November) to help facilitate post-WTM business deals.

In 2013 the two sessions were attended by 296 buyers and 1,149 exhibitors and played a key role in WTM 2013 facilitating that record €2.76 billion in industry deals – and in 2014 WTM is attempting to break the world record for the largest single speed networking event on the planet.

WTM Buyers’ Cub Manager Raj Thakkar urges buyers to sign up to the Speed Networking sessions and members can register their interest in participating at www.wtmlondon.com/speednetworking.

“The WTM Speed Networking sessions are vital in helping buyers and exhibitors conduct business negotiations and sign contracts,” said Raj. “Due to this the sessions are over-subscribed every year so buyers should apply immediately to avoid disappointment.”

Bloggers Speed Networking

WTM is also calling on bloggers to apply for the new WTM Bloggers Speed Networking. The hour-long session, on Thursday 6th November at 10.30 at entrance S11 on the WTM Exhibition Floor, will see 60 leading industry bloggers hold quick-fire business meetings with exhibitors interested in increasing their media exposure.

Bloggers can apply for one of the 60 table places at www.wtmlondon.com/bloggersspeednetworking. Bloggers will need to have registered for WTM to apply for a place.

Paul Nelson, WTM Portfolio Press & PR Manager, said: “The number of bloggers attending World Travel Market has increased dramatically over the past few years as the power and influence of bloggers continues to grow stronger.

“Due to this exhibitors have asked for a vehicle that allows them to make the most of this every-increasing and increasingly important channel for exposure. WTM Bloggers Speed Networking will give exhibitors the opportunity to hold business meetings regarding increasing their exposure with 60 of the most effective bloggers in the world.”

WTM Bloggers Speed Networking is being held in association with Travel Bloggers Unite.
