Travel Counsellor Agents Take Their Business to the Next Level with Phenix

Travel Counsellors have celebrated phenomenal results through taking control of the way they run their businesses, placing value on the unique and highly personal service they provide their customers, and utilising the company’s in-house technology, Phenix, to increase their earning potential.

Kirsten Hughes, Commercial Director (above right, with Mary Foyle), told the conference delegates how Travel Counsellors in Ireland had embraced the company’s in-house Quote and Book system to tailor-make packages for their customers, and had dramatically increased their earnings as a result.

She also encouraged agents to utilise the system even more and how by doing this they can still sell the best products and prices to their customers, while earning the margins they deserve. Kirsten shared examples of Irish Travel Counsellors in attendance who have really embraced the new system and are now reaping the awards, including increased earnings and time saving.

Kirsten said: “We developed the system to protect you and your businesses and enable you to get the value you deserve from each booking. It’s the biggest thing we have done in technology so far and I am delighted that so many of you are embracing the system and seeing the direct benefits.

“Travel Counsellors Ireland are the number one users of the Phenix system, and 70% of agents have increased their income over the past year as a direct result of this. At the moment we are only just scraping the surface and we will continue to invest in our systems so that you can grow your businesses even further. The potential for you all is limitless.”

Tipperary-based Travel Counsellor Rosemary Chawke, the top user of Quote and Book in Ireland, said: “Since I started using the Quote and Book package system my business has changed dramatically. It has made my working life so much better and, more importantly, my margin has increased and is increasing more and more each month. The system has enabled me to offer the best products and price to my customers, while earning the margin I deserve. It’s like my new best friend!”

Within her presentation Kirsten also revealed a host of new improvements to the system including new-look documentation and updates to the accommodation searches, such as hotel mapping and an innovative hotel review scoring system.
