The company recognises that the service it offers is emotional, so expressing what it is like to be a Travel Counsellor, and how it feels to receive such service as a customer, can sometimes be difficult to relay in words.
Bernie Whelan, Business Development Executive at Travel Counsellors Ireland, said: “We felt that a short film would be a great way to express our personal message because through this medium we can really connect with people. The first film, which we launched earlier this year, was specifically designed for our agents to use as a marketing tool to engage consumers. There are no words, instead it focuses on a story of a couple booking a holiday and succinctly communicates the special service they receive.
“It has been shared widely through social media, which is great! After watching it people instantly understand why the service that Travel Counsellors deliver is so special. Customers like the film so much that they are showing it to their friends, which is fabulous as more people are finding out about us.”
The recruitment film was launched in August this year and features Travel Counsellors from all over the globe, including Ireland, talking about their personal journey. It gives an insight into the practicalities and emotional impact of life at the travel company, and explains what makes Travel Counsellors such a special company.
Bernie added: “We are keen to welcome talented travel professionals to the Travel Counsellors family to share in our success. However, we understand that making the leap to become a Travel Counsellor is a big decision, and we need to provide all the information that people need in a way that is accessible for them. The new film gives a snapshot into our company and from this travel professionals will be able to get an instant feel for what we do and then call us to find out more.”
