Sarah Slattery compiles a list of the top Travel Trade Deals from trade partners, including airlines’ seat sales, special offers from tour operators, hotel deals from bed banks, and the latest cruise deals. 

BookaBed’s Greek offers include the Island Beach Resort, Corfu, from €7; Anika Studios, Rhodes, from €14; the 4-star Kosta Palace, Kos, from €22; and the 5-star CHC Athina Palace Resort, Crete, from €77. Prices are per person per night based on September arrivals.

Topflight is offering seven nights in the Astoria Hotel, Sorrento, from €699 on 14th August. Price includes flights, transfers and checked baggage.

Falcon Holidays is offering seven nights all-inclusive in the Globales Pionero & Santa Ponsa Park Hotel from €559 on 14th September. Price includes flights, transfers and checked baggage.

Falcon Holidays’ September flight-only sale includes Palma and Lanzarote from €199 return, including taxes.

Sunway is offering flight-only to Lanzarote from Dublin and Cork for €299 on 6th August. Price includes checked baggage.

Sunway is offering seven nights in Madeira from €649 on 18th August. Price includes flights, transfers and checked baggage.

Emirates’ five-day sale includes Dubai from €473, Hong Kong from €549, and Perth from €890. Book by 3rd August for selected departures up to 31st May 2017.

KLM’s seat sale includes Nairobi from €457, Beijing from €489, and Lima from €817. Book by 10th August.

Wow Air is offering 25% off child (2-11) fares from now until 31st January. Book by 15th August and use code WOWKIDS at the checkout.

Ukraine International Airlines is now offering special fares in its August sale to destinations from London Gatwick. Highlights include New York from £202 and Beijing from £345 return including taxes. Book by 21st August for selected departures from 1st November – 23rd March.

Royal Caribbean International is offering a France and Spain cruise onboard Navigator of the Seas from €1,239 on 15th October. Price includes flights from Cork or Shannon and a free upgrade to balcony stateroom.

Celebrity Cruises is offering a 10-night Arabian Coast cruise from €1,089 on 9th December. Price includes flights from Dublin and an ocean view stateroom.

Thomson Cruises is offering a seven-night cruise from Majorca onboard Thomson Majesty on 6th September. Price of €979 includes flights, transfers and checked baggage.

Island Escapes is offering nine nights all-inclusive in the Riu Palace Antillas, Aruba, from €1,799 plus €298 taxes during September. Price includes flights and transfers.

SuperBreak is offering a ‘Friday Night Out’ package in Cardiff. Price for one night B&B in the 4-star Mercure Cardiff Holland House, a bottle of Prosecco on arrival, dinner in Zizzi’s and VIP guest-list entry to Tiger Tiger. Price of €78 per person is based on two sharing, available on Fridays from September to December and excludes flights.

Aer Lingus welcomed a piece of Irish aviation history into its hangar at Dublin airport today as it received a Douglas DC-3 aircraft hailing from the 1940s and 50s and freshly painted in the Aer Lingus livery of that era. The DC-3 was the fifth aircraft type to be operated by Aer Lingus in 1940 and at that time was part of a fleet of just 5, while today’s fleet now stands at 63 aircraft operating more than 100 routes to UK, Europe and North America. The DC-3 aircraft will feature in Bray Air Display and Foynes Air Show this weekend.
