Travelport Mobile Agent for Worldspan

Travelport has launched Travelport Mobile Agent for Worldspan, making the mobile GDS application now available on all three Travelport GDS cores.

All Travelport-connected agents around the globe using the Galileo, Apollo or Worldspan GDS platforms are now able to download Travelport Mobile Agent. The app allows agents to access and modify bookings on-the-go via their iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch or Android devices. Since its launch in 2011, Travelport Mobile Agent has been downloaded more than 21,000 times.

Sinead Reilly, Country Manager for Travelport Ireland, said: “Travelport Mobile Agent ensures travel agents can be competitive in a 24/7 industry that demands highly responsive customer service. Since its launch in October 2011 the application has been downloaded by a large number of Galileo travel agents and I have no doubt that this application will be just as successful for Worldspan customers.

“We have all been in a situation while on holiday, or on the train to Cork when an urgent call comes through to be actioned – now travel agents can simply do the needful via their phone or iPad using Travelport Mobile Agent. The application certainly gives travel agents the flexibility to work anytime, anyplace, anywhere. This category of technology enables us to offer a superior level of customer service that sets us apart from the competition.”

Travelport Mobile Agent was developed by TTS (Travel Technology & Solutions). It is one of the first products to be made available globally as a result of the Travelport Developer Network, Travelport’s open platform allowing the developer community to showcase their solutions.
