Tryphavana Joins Celebrity Cruises as Business Development Manager, Ireland

Celebrity Cruises UK and Ireland has appointed Tryphavana Cross as Business Development Manager, Ireland. This new role is part of the recent changes to RCL Cruises Ltd’s UK and Ireland business structure that positions each dedicated brand team to better address the differing needs of the market across major accounts, cruise specialists, high street agents, home workers and online players.

Starting in December, Tryphavana will report directly to Michael English, Head of Sales UK & Ireland, and brings a wealth of travel industry experience to the role, including her most recent work with Aereps Travel Management as Marketing and PR Account Manager for Las Vegas CVB and helping to drive online and social media marketing.

Tryphavana will be responsible for helping to drive the Celebrity Cruises brand’s ongoing growth in Ireland by leveraging the many innovative and market-leading offerings typified by the features of the Celebrity Infinity ship, which will be a frequent visitor to Ireland in 2015 after its first ever visits this year after an extensive revitalisation.

Following preparations for the key ‘wave’ period at the turn of the year, which will see the official launch of the Celebrity Cruises.ie website, Tryphvana will deepen relationships with agents and will be instrumental in driving the 2014 season that will see an emphasis on the onboard experience and destinations through an association with the popular adventurer and broadcaster, Ben Fogle.

Michael English said: “I am looking forward to working with Tryphavana and I am sure the trade partners that she will be looking after will join me in welcoming her as she settles into the role. The appointment continues the contribution Lorraine Quinn, Jenny Rafter and Jennifer Callister previously made to growing the business. Investing in the recruitment of Tryphavana with her online skillset and wider experience highlights how serious Celebrity Cruises is about further success in Ireland.”
