United Golfers At Carton House

United Golfers At Carton House

The United Airlines inaugural United Cup got off to a flying start at Carton House last Wednesday. The format was 4-ball Stableford aggregate with two teams, one from Northern Ireland and one from the Republic of Ireland.

Although the weather was less than kind, the standard of golf was high, with the home team led by Jimmy Lennox ending the day as clear winners.

Gary Boyd of Bryan Somers Travel in Northern Ireland won the individual prize of a trip to New York with United, while Jimmy Lennox won the prize draw of a trip to New York with United and hotel accommodation at one of the Fitzpatrick Hotels.

Yvonne Muldoon, ably assisted by Barry Jackson (United’s Area Sales Manager, Northern Ireland) and the United team of Pat Reede, Brian Hughes, Shelley Hinde and Aoife Greg, was the most generous of hosts and ensured a most enjoyable day was had by all who participated.
