Worldchoice Ireland Appoints Carol Anne as Commercial Manager

Worldchoice Ireland has appointed Carol Anne O’Neill as the new Commercial Manager.

Carol Anne will take up the position in the near future following the resignation of Don Shearer as Chief Executive in October 2015. Don has agreed to work with the board ensuring business continuity and a smooth handover process over the coming weeks.

Carol Anne joins Worldchoice Ireland from Ryanair where she was Head of Sales and Marketing, Corporate & Groups. Her vast travel experience includes Operations Director Falcon/JWT ; Commercial Director XL Leisure group; Head of Sales Wings Abroad; Commercial Trade and Marketing Manager Falcon & Thomson Ireland; General Manager Falcon Holidays and Thomson Ireland, and Head of Ireland Falcon Holidays and Thomson (TUI UK & Ireland).

The board and membership base of Worldchoice wish to thank Don Shearer for his dedication, commitment and energy he brought to the role during his two-year tenure. In a very short period of time he has increased agents overrides by over 80%, developed an industry-leading B2B and B2C website, communication hub and members’ bed bank; established a Dublin HQ, integrating UK accounting and administration procedures, and successfully liaised with trade partners, maintaining Worldchoice Ireland as the premier retail travel grouping in Ireland.
