Celebrity Cruises 2012 MasterChef Competition in Ireland

Fine dining with unique interpretations is an integral part of the Celebrity Cruises experience that keeps guests coming back time after time. To highlight this in a fun and engaging way with trade partners, Celebrity Cruises has unveiled its latest agent incentive promotion – the 2012 MasterChef Competition, and has selected Irish Travel Trade News as its Media Partner.

The competition pits agents and their respective Celebrity Cruises sales team Account Manager (Jenny Rafter and Lorraine Quinn) against one another in a challenge to see who can come up with the best themed recipe. The trade winner receives a two-night inaugural cruise onboard ‘Celebrity Reflection’ as their prize.

Promotion Schedule

6 – 14 July:  Agents can enter recipes, on the CruisingPower.ie dedicated trade website, that they would ultimately like Account Managers from the Celebrity Cruises’ sales team to cook.

16 – 20 July:  Agents vote the most popular Celebrity Cruises themed dish. Agents whose recipes receive the most votes will be featured on the leader board of the Cruising Power dedicated trade website.

23 – 25 July:  Jenny and Lorraine pair up with their respective agents to film and cook recipes that received the most votes. Jenny and Lorraine will call agents prior to cooking / filming to get last-minute tips and pointers on the recipe.

2–10 August:  The final 11 videos will be featured on the Cruising Power website. Agents will be asked to vote on their top three favourite video recipes.

13 August:  Top three videos announced.

18 August:  The top three agents and the Account Managers will take part in a live cook-off Final onboard Celebrity Eclipse.

When the Celebrity Reflection enters service in October 2012, she will complete Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice class. Guests will be able to relax like never before in one of the 34 new AquaClass Suites with luxurious interior space and stunning verandas.

Celebrity Reflection has also expanded with an additional deck, 72 additional staterooms overall, and more seating in the main and specialty dining rooms, more sun loungers on the pool deck and more seats in the theatre.

Excitement brews with up to 50 international craft beers in the enhanced Michael’s Club, while on the Lawn Club, painting classes will be on offer with a Master Artist from the ArtCenter South Florida in The Art Studio.
