This year’s Consort Travel Group conference will be held on board Norwegian Cruise Line’s new Norwegian Epic cruise ship, departing Barcelona on 25th April for four nights around the Mediterranean.
Consort Board members Doreen McKenzie of Knock Travel and Sandra Corkin of Oasis Travel told Irish Travel Trade News: “Usually about 75 people attend, made up of members, their partners and suppliers. We have one day focused on business, with an inspirational speaker followed by a speed dating session that gives each member an opportunity to speak one-to-one with each supplier.
“Consort Travel Group is the largest grouping of independent travel agencies based all over Northern Ireland with a total of 29 shops. Our new affiliation on 1st February with Advantage Travel Group is about doing business with like-minded people, yet we retain our own independence and, indeed, local deals with suppliers who we have built up a long-term relationship with over many years.”
NCL’s Norwegian Epic entered into service last year and offers flexible accommodation for up to 4,100 passengers and 1,753 crew. The accommodation ranges from new studios designed and priced specifically for the solo traveller to spa staterooms and suites, and private courtyard villas that come with a butler and concierge.
Big-name Las Vegas shows include the Blue Man Group, Legends in Concert and Cirque Dreams and Dinner. There are more than 20 culinary dining choices, many unique to the Norwegian Epic.
